you have interesting birds...and I like watercolor sometimes...not as much control as pastels or charcoal or conte is for me :rofl: but to each his own, right?

and I thought that these were painted! :D

I like birds that other people think of as "ugly", like vultures, the Northern Bald Ibis and others. They are great models for paintings!

Really? I don't use pastels or charcoal at all at the moment. Too smudgy, in my opinion. :D

I think of my watercolour pictures as paintings because they take me so much time. :)

It wasn't easy to paint the pattern on the feathers, but they are such pretty little birds so I just had to give it a try. I'm glad you like it. :)
Do you own quails or did you paint them before, too?
