Watercolours with some opaque white, 30x21cm. Varnished with acrylic matt spray film, signed and dated. Safe packaging as registered letter, unframed (sending a painting in a frame with glass would be risky and cause high shipping costs).

Inspired by some photos of buzzards arguing about a good seat. The two birds are only threatening each other, though, and won't have a serious fight.

The buzzard (Buteo buteo) is probably the most numerous bird of prey in the world. It's a species with a big colour variety, from almost white to dark brown. It's quite adaptable and can often be seen gliding over arable land. It mainly feeds on mice.

I can watch buzzards rather often near the place I live, but not as often as I’d like to see them.

Aquarell mit etwas Deckweiß, 30x21cm. Mit Acryl-Sprühfilm fixiert, signiert und datiert. Sicherer Versand als Einschreiben, nicht gerahmt (ein Bild in einem Rahmen mit Glas zu verschicken wäre riskant und würde hohe Portokosten bedeuten).

Inspiriert von mehreren Fotos von Bussarden, sie sich um einen guten Sitzplatz streiten. Die beiden Vögel drohen sich allerdings nur, es kommt nicht zu einer ernsten Auseinandersetzung.

Der Mäusebussard (Buteo buteo) ist wahrscheinlich der häufigste Greifvogel der Welt. Die Färbung ist sehr variabel, von fast weiß bis schwarzbraun. Sie sind recht anpassungsfähig und deshalb häufig über Kulturflächen segelnd zu sehen. Sie ernähren sich hauptsächlich von Mäusen.

Ich kann recht häufig Bussarde in der Nähe meines Wohnorts beobachten, aber längst nicht so oft wie ich sie gerne sehen würde.
